Artist of the Month at NACC

ARTIST BIO
Michelle Wilcox is a self-taught artist whose creative journey began three years ago. Although she started painting with acrylics, she soon discovered a passion for working with oils and has continued to expand her artistic expression through watercolor bird paintings.
Art became especially meaningful to Michelle after the passing of her mother, an avid painter who inspired her love of creativity. Painting provided both a connection to her mother’s memory and a source of comfort and healing during a difficult time. What began as a personal outlet quickly grew into a passion for capturing the beauty of the world around her.
Michelle is particularly drawn to scenic landscapes, northern vistas, the magic of the northern lights, and tranquil beach scenes. Her watercolor bird paintings showcase her appreciation for nature’s color, character, and delicate details.
Through her artwork, Michelle strives to share the beauty and serenity she finds in nature while honoring the inspiration that first led her to pick up a paintbrush. Her work reflects both a love of the natural world and a deeply personal journey of remembrance, growth, and creativity.
Michelle’s work will be display and for sale at NACC for the month of October 2026.
