SUMMARY:Creating A New Play Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Colin (Bourke) Wolf is a Métis (MNA) performer\, theatre maker\, and activist from the North-East of Moh’kins’tsis (Calgary)\, AB on Treaty 7 Territory. Colin\, and many of his family\, are Metis Nation of Alberta Citizens. Wolf has relational ties to the Metis communities in Northern Alberta including Lac Labiche\, Donatville\, and Fort Chipewyan. Wolf graduated with a BFA in Performance from the University of Lethbridge in 2014 and then spent the next 5 years making theatre all over the prairies with dear friends\, trusted colleagues\, and complicated colonial institutions. \n\n\n\nHis theatre work has focused on the development of new\, Indigenous\, and politically activated theatre. Creating a New Play is a workshop geared towards adult participants\, suitable for ages 15+. Participants will be taught about the process of creating a new one-person play and be given tools to be able to start their own new work creation process \n\n\n\nOnly 14 slots are available for this one day workshop.  \n\n\n\nThe workshop will be held off-site. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis event is organized by:

SUMMARY:Stage Management Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Betty-Lou Hushlak is a seasoned stage manager\, production manager\, and instructor. She recently returned to Theatre Network (Edmonton) to stage mange the premiere of Colleen Murphy’s Jupiter. A previous credit at Network includes Café Daughter\, which toured to the National Arts Centre\, The Belfry Theatre\, the Northern Arts and Cultural Centre\, Belgrade (Serbia)\, and Herceg Novi (Montenegro). In addition to her work on productions\, Betty is a long-time Stage Management instructor and a member of the Fine Arts Faculty at the University of Lethbridge. \n\n\n\nThis two-day workshop will provide experienced and aspiring stage managers alike with practical skills in stage management\, from pre-production until post-production. \n\n\n\nOnly 16 slots are available for this two day workshop.  \n\n\n\nDay One will be held off-site. Day Two will be held at the Northern Arts and Cultural Centre. Each day runs from 10:00am to 6:00pm with a one hour break.
