DESCRIPTION:James Ehnes has established himself as one of the most sought-after musicians on the international stage. Gifted with a rare combination of stunning virtuosity\, serene lyricism and unfaltering musicality\, Ehnes is a favourite guest at the world’s most celebrated concert halls.  \n\n\n\nEhnes has an extensive discography and has won many awards for his recordings\, including two Grammy Awards\, three Gramophone Awards and twelve Juno Awards\, the most of any classical musician in history. In 2021\, Ehnes was announced as the recipient of the coveted Artist of the Year award at the 2021 Gramophone Awards which celebrated his recent contributions to the recording industry\, including the launch of a new online recital series entitled ‘Recitals from Home’ which was released in June 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent closure of concert halls. \n\n\n\nEhnes began violin studies at the age of five\, became a protégé of the noted Canadian violinist Francis Chaplin aged nine\, and made his orchestral debut with L’Orchestre symphonique de Montréal aged 13. He continued his studies with Sally Thomas at the Meadowmount School of Music and The Juilliard School\, winning the Peter Mennin Prize for Outstanding Achievement and Leadership in Music upon his graduation in 1997. \n\n\n\nHe is a Member of the Order of Canada and the Order of Manitoba\, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada\, and an honorary fellow of the Royal Academy of Music\, where he is a Visiting Professor. Since 2024\, he has been Professor of Violin at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music. \n\n\n\nEhnes will embark on his 50th birthday recital tour in his native Canada\, with performances in every province and territory. The setlist of his 50th birthday recital tour features an original composition by the NWT’s own Carmen Braden. This composition was commissioned by the Northern Arts and Cultural Centre in support of the creation of new work in the NWT and local artists. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCarmen Braden is a creator and performer of new\, beautiful and sometimes weird music. She is a two-time Juno Award nominated force in the world of new music\, hailing proudly from the Northwest Territories. Moving smoothly between genres of composing and songwriting\, Carmen is recognized as a “brilliant\, young Yellowknife-based composer” (Ottawa Citizen) an “acoustic ambassador of the Canadian Subarctic” (Musicworks). \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCarmen’s work in music\, theatre\, songwriting and dance has been performed across Canada and beyond\, from Atlin BC to Helsinki\, Finland. Her work has a special focus on northern themes as well as the influences of play and parenthood. \n\n\n\nCarmen has released four albums to national acclaim. Her contemporary classical compositions are regularly commissioned and performed across Canada and are being increasingly recorded across Canada and beyond. \n\n\n\nCarmen is an Associate Composer with the Canadian Music Centre\, and is signed to Truant Artist Management for representing her compositional work. DESCRIPTION:This Lost Dog show reveals the real story of Romeo and Juliet. It turns out they didn’t die in a tragic misunderstanding; they grew up and lived happily ever after. \n\n\n\nWell\, they lived.  \n\n\n\nNow in their 40s and struggling with a mid-life crisis\, they feel constantly mocked by their teenage selves and haunted by the pressures of being the poster couple for romantic love. They decide to confront their current struggles by staging a performance about themselves. Their therapist told them it was a terrible idea.  \n\n\n\nWith Lost Dog’s blend of dance\, theatre\, and comedy\, this duet directed by Olivier Award nominated Ben Duke takes on our cultural obsession with youth and our inevitable issues with longevity.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nComic awkwardness tipping into vulnerable emotion is a hallmark of Ben Duke’s work. The Independent\n\n\n\n\n\nBen is Artistic Director and co-founder of Lost Dog. He trained at Guildford School of Acting\, the London Contemporary Dance School and has a first-class degree in English Literature from Newcastle University. His work is an attempt to reconcile those three subjects. \n\n\n\nIn 1997 Ben saw Alain Platel’s show Bernadetje at the Newcastle Playhouse and has since been trying to recreate the feeling of confusion and joy he had while watching that piece in his own artistic practice. Since 2015\, Alison has published three graphic novels\, all of which explore aspects of contemporary day-to-day life north of the 60th parallel.  Her most recent book\, ‘Degrees of Separation: A Decade North of 60’\, was released in April 2024 and was named one of the Best Canadian Comics of 2024 by CBC Books.  It also earned Alison invitations to be a guest author at several literary festivals such as the Vancouver Writers Festival\, the Toronto Comic Arts Festival and the Stockholm International Comics Festival. DESCRIPTION:Presented In Collaboration With \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA six-person ensemble featuring some of Canada’s greatest Jazz musicians \n\n\n\nPossessing “one of the purest sounds on the six string” (The Listening Sessions)\, guitarist-composer Brett Hansen has boldly stepped out from his work as one of Canada’s first-call session musicians with a striking debut album of his own\, Confluence. Hansen’s compositions showcase his fleet technical skill and cinematic sonic palate\, but perhaps most notable is his emotional and dynamic capacity to tell stories without words. Influences from his work in folk\, rock\, jazz\, and orchestral ensembles shine across the album\, which has remained on the international jazz charts since its release in 2024 and has garnered critical acclaim\, drawing comparison to Pat Metheny and John Abercrombie. Brett Hansen has studied with the likes of Mike Stern\, Julian Lage\, Oz Noy\, Matthew Stevens\, Nir Felder\, Jim Head\, and Rez Abassi. He performs regularly as a part of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra\, has toured internationally through Asia\, Europe\, and Canada\, and has performed on hundreds of recordings across genres with some of Canada’s finest musicians across many genres of music. DESCRIPTION:How do our lives intertwine? How do we manage to prosperous balances? What happens when they break down? Alteration addresses the transformations that punctuate our lives and our abilities to influence our own destiny and that of others. Aly Keita depicts an oscillating humanity on an intimate and societal level\, between stability and uncertainty\, anchoring and uprooting\, change and resistance\, renewal and repetition. The relationship with the other and the complexity of ties lead to the need to hear and rebuild our relationship with ourselves and with our environment. Exploring the meaning of relationships in our society in a wide-ranging way\, both interpersonal relationships and those with other-than-human beings\, this work opens the way to the construction of possible new links that are formed through ecological and spiritual dimensions. Here\, life takes the form of a cycle of transformations. Memories of past experiences and scars – in other words\, alteration – are transmuted into a vital breath through reactivating movements\, both individual and collective\, that revitalize our bodies and rekindle our inner power. \n\n\n\nThis show includes the use of smoke\, which may persist throughout the performance. In addition\, vibrating sounds and low frequencies are used\, which may cause physical sensations. Please take this into account if you are sensitive to these effects. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis multi-arts work is as much a choreographic piece as a circus piece\, a musical work as well as a work of visual art. Martin Bellemare (Note d’intention)\n\n\n\n\n\nKira is a word in Sousou\, the language of Guinea\, meaning “path”. It evokes the idea that life is a path where we walk\, gather\, and unite. Founded in 2023\, Kira Arts creates staged works that bring together different artistic practices on equal footing and promote intercultural dialogue. In this way\, they cultivate an inclusive and diverse environment based on principles of knowledge sharing and collaboration. Their artistic approach focuses on mediation as a field for research and creation. When selecting collaborators\, it is essential that each artist possess a deep understanding of the body\, rhythm\, and movement. The uniqueness of each body and individual is a tool that can enrich shared creation. DESCRIPTION:Yellowknife’s own Tyler Hawkins\, recognized for his versatile guitarist work\, levels up with this rare performance on his Baroque Lute featuring the music of Weiss\, Bach and Gauthier. He received a BFA Honours in Performance on multi-string classical guitars (1990) and later released both online and CD versions of Tyler Hawkins – Bach on Seventeen Strings (2007) and Georg Philipp Telemann Lute Duets for Classical Guitar – Tyler Hawkins & Christopher Irvine (2009). \n\n\n\nAs director of the NWT International Lute Festival (2007 – 2017) he became immersed into the fascinating and very real world of early music\, having commissioned a period accurate replica 13 course Sebastian Schelle baroque lute\, hand made by the luthier duo Barber & Harris in London England\, 2011. DESCRIPTION:Les Voix Humaines are back in the NWT to grace our ears once again with this special Yellowknife performance\, as founding member and most incredible gambist Susie Napper takes flight with the Russian harpsichordist Elizaveta Miller. Also featuring local baroque lutenist Tyler Hawkins\, their collective programme ‘Adversaries in Love’ transports us to the connected worlds and unmatched genius of Gauthier\, Marais\, Abel\, Bach(s) and Weiss\, all played on authentic period instruments. \n\n\n\nThe viol duo\, Les Voix Humaines\, brings flair and brilliance to their performances! Susie Napper and Mélisande Corriveau have performed together as members of Les Voix Humaines Consort for two decades and collaborated on many projects. They have performed across Canada\, in the USA\, France and Belgium as a duo. They both play on historic viols by London luthier\, Barak Norman. \n\n\n\nThe duo builds on decades of performances worldwide by Susie Napper and Margaret Little who’s musical complicity was compared to the skill of a pair of trapeze artists or the telepathic communion of jazz artists. Their many prizes and recordings are the foundation on which the new duo has built a creative repertoire and innovative style to inspire a new generation of music-lovers. \n\n\n\nAnguille sous roche – Something Fishy\, the duo’s latest recording and video features delicacies from the French repertoire offering humour\, virtuosity and tenderness in a unique\, creative programme. Last November they recorded a new CD of several iconic works by J.S. Bach arranged by Susie Napper for two viols. \n\n\n\nThe duo has been joined by many celebrated soloists including singers Suzie Leblanc\, Daniel Taylor\, Charles Daniels and Jonathon Adams and instrumentalists\, Wieland and Bart Kuijken\, Davide Monti and Nigel North. Susie Napper has the honour of performing with Russian harpsichordist Elizaveta Miller for this special performance in Yellowknife. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRecent recipient of the honour of Companion of Arts and Letters of Quebec\, cellist\, gambist and continuo player par excellence\, Susie Napper is alternatively praised or admonished for her colourful and controversial performances of solo and chamber repertoire of the baroque! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA rebel to the core\, from an artistic milieu in London\, in her teens she played début performances of Ligetti and Stockhausen as well as performance-art productions in alternative venues. By contrast she studied at Juilliard in New York at the height of the Vietnam resistance and at the Paris Conservatoire at the end of the student riots of ‘68. \n\n\n\nSan Francisco followed\, where\, having had an epiphany on receiving a bass viol\, she threw herself headlong into new-wave\, HIP baroque music-making\, teaching herself the viol by playing\, reading treatises and creating new styles of performance inspired by old! \n\n\n\nAs well as co-foundiing Philharmonia Baroque with her partner and inspiration\, baroque oboist and writer\, the late Bruce Haynes\, they spent decades parenting delightful kids and musicing in Montreal where she created the Montreal Baroque Festival\, a vehicle to unite the multitalented\, Montreal early music community. \n\n\n\nShe has spent decades with a foot on either side of the Atlantic recording\, performing\, teaching in Montreal and Copenhagen and touring around Europe\, the Far East and Oceania often with the viol duo\, Les Voix humaines. Amongst dozens of recordings\, the complete Concerts a deux violes esgales by Sieur de Ste Colombe is a highlight and her arrangements of music stolen from the wider baroque repertoire amuse both musicians and audiences alike! \n\n\n\nEither praised or criticized for her use of rubato\, general freedom of expression\, variety of bow strokes and undying preference for harmony over melody\, she is constantly searching for rhetorical meaning and eloquence to bring the printed page to life! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nElizaveta Miller is a versatile historical keyboardist whose artistry spans harpsichord\, fortepiano\, clavichord\, organ\, and modern piano. Her repertoire encompasses five centuries of music\, with a particular focus on reviving underrepresented works\, curating imaginative programs\, and commissioning new compositions for historical instruments. She studied at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory\, Moskva and the Yale School of Music. \n\n\n\n\n\nWinner of the First Prize at the 2013 Musica Antiqua Competition in Bruges\, Miller has since performed widely across North America and Europe at festivals such as the Montreal Baroque Festival\, Montreal Bach Festival\, Festival Classica\, MA Festival Bruges\, Beethovenfest Bonn\, Bozar Music\, the Dubrovnik Summer Festival\, and The Homecoming Festival. As a continuo player\, she has collaborated with leading conductors including Václav Luks\, Reinhard Goebel\, Maxim Emelyanychev\, Robert Hollingworth\, and Christian Curnyn. \n\n\n\nAfter nearly a decade on the faculty of the Moscow State Conservatory\, she resigned in March 2022 in protest of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. She was subsequently appointed Assistant Professor of Harpsichord and Coordinator of the Early Music Area at McGill University’s Schulich School of Music.  \n\n\n\nIn 2024\, she co-founded the ensemble Les Temps Perdus with cellist Jessica Korotkin\, continuing her commitment to reimagining early music through performance and scholarship\, and to mentoring emerging artists at the outset of their careers. \n\n\n\n\n\nJoined by Yellowknife’s own Tyler Hawkins\, recognized for his versatile guitarist work\, levels up with this rare performance on his Baroque Lute featuring the music of Weiss\, Bach and Gauthier. He received a BFA Honours in Performance on multi-string classical guitars (1990) and later released both online and CD versions of Tyler Hawkins – Bach on Seventeen Strings (2007) and Georg Philipp Telemann Lute Duets for Classical Guitar – Tyler Hawkins & Christopher Irvine (2009). \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAs director of the NWT International Lute Festival (2007 – 2017) he became immersed into the fascinating and very real world of early music\, having commissioned a period accurate replica 13 course Sebastian Schelle baroque lute\, hand made by the luthier duo Barber & Harris in London England\, 2011. Kiuryaq is ‘Aurora Borealis’ in the Western Arctic Inuvialuit language of Inuvialuktun\, in reference to their bright colours. \n\n\n\nKiuryaq is an immersive circumpolar theatre performance that explores our relationship with the Northern Lights. It is a multi-disciplinary piece created in collaboration with sound composers\, digital media artists\, and theatre artists from Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples of Canada\, Greenland\, Sápmi territory and Alaska.  \n\n\n\nWe follow these northern stories of connection that inspire us through the aurora borealis\, or kiuryaq in Inuvialuktun. These stories – frightening\, spiritual\, epic and playful – are situated in our memories of then and experiences of now. All are held in our vast cosmologies\, converging in ways that could not have imagined when this journey began.  \n\n\n\nKiuryaq is about two siblings born in the North\, an older sister and a younger brother. One is taken down south by a forced adoption and raised with no knowledge of their place of birth\, the other is raised under the Aurora with their grandparents. Under the ancestral connection of the Northern Lights\, choices are made that change both their realities. \n\n\n\nKiuryaq is a transformative performance work which brings the circumpolar region together to share wisdom\, warnings and humour to all those who are curious. Kiuryaq is ‘Aurora Borealis’ in the Western Arctic Inuvialuit language of Inuvialuktun\, in reference to their bright colours. \n\n\n\nKiuryaq is an immersive circumpolar theatre performance that explores our relationship with the Northern Lights. It is a multi-disciplinary piece created in collaboration with sound composers\, digital media artists\, and theatre artists from Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples of Canada\, Greenland\, Sápmi territory and Alaska.  \n\n\n\nWe follow these northern stories of connection that inspire us through the aurora borealis\, or kiuryaq in Inuvialuktun. These stories – frightening\, spiritual\, epic and playful – are situated in our memories of then and experiences of now. All are held in our vast cosmologies\, converging in ways that could not have imagined when this journey began.  \n\n\n\nKiuryaq is about two siblings born in the North\, an older sister and a younger brother. One is taken down south by a forced adoption and raised with no knowledge of their place of birth\, the other is raised under the Aurora with their grandparents. Under the ancestral connection of the Northern Lights\, choices are made that change both their realities. \n\n\n\nKiuryaq is a transformative performance work which brings the circumpolar region together to share wisdom\, warnings and humour to all those who are curious. DESCRIPTION:THE RITE OF SPRING\n\n\n\nIn Marie Chouinard’s work\, The Rite of Spring occupies a special position. In choosing to re-examine this powerful hymn to life\, she has created her first choreography based on a musical score. Igor Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring explores a New World and marks the entry of dance into modernity. In this avant-garde work\, Marie Chouinard again finds an original pulsation that is essential to her movement. Far from contradicting the rhythm of her dance\, the cadence and force of the music inspire\, accompany and energize her\, forming both the echo and the musical counterpoint of an organic\, vigorous and vivid choreography. \n\n\n\n\nThere is no story in my Rite- no development\, no cause and effect. Only synchronicity. It is as if I were dealing with the very moment after the instant life first appeared. The performance is the unfolding of that moment. I have the feeling that before that moment there was an extraordinary burst of light\, a flash of lightning. \nMarie Chouinard\n\n\n\nPrelude to the Afternoon of a Faun\n\n\n\nWhen he wrote the Afternoon of a Faun in 1876\, Stéphane Mallarmé fulfilled a dream: to write poetry for the theatre. The poem’s musicality inspired Claude Debussy to compose Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun in 1894. In 1912\, in Paris\, Vaslav Nijinski created his first choreography\, based on Mallarmé’s poem. In it\, he gave life – intense and sensual life – to his own raw and animalistic erotic nature\, thereby abruptly breaking with classical tradition. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis show contains partial nudity. He’s a multiple East Coast Music Award winner known for his high-energy\, banjo-driven stompers\, touching guitar ballads\, and dry\, humorous stories. Old Man Luedecke has been making a soundtrack to an authentic life for nearly twenty years. \n\n\n\nBorn in Toronto and long-time resident of Chester\, Nova Scotia\, Luedecke began recording in the early 2000s DIY folk scene of Halifax. He has performed in Europe and throughout the United States with both orchestra and in recital–notable engagements include concerto performances with the Milwaukee and New Jersey Symphony Orchestras and the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra. Joining the ensemble in Yellowknife is Dominican tenor José Heredia. Uppercut Danseteater is a diverse and international dance company that was founded in 1982 by Cher Geurtze and Ann Crooset as one of the first modern companies in Denmark. BENCHED is a classic Uppercut Danseteater piece\, in the way that the individual dancers’ background\, stories and strengths both as persons and performers\, are brought to the stage. Staged as a peoples’ assembly\, the ambition is to investigate questions concerning power\, identity\, art and economy in a local\, northern context. NORDTING addresses everything from global issues around geopolitics\, climate change and capitalism to very local issues from the place the assembly is held. Everything is adjusted for each new location -there is local history\, local guests and local issues put up for vote. Since the beginning in 2014\, NORDTING has arranged peoples’ assemblies all over the Arctic\, from Alaska to Greenland\, from Iceland to Norway. Thousands of people have made their voices heard. Assemblies have voted yes or no to oil drilling\, fish farming\, mining\, independence for the North\, new street names\, new airline routes\, new national days and taxation of the rich.There has been a lottery\, cheering\, praying\, flagging\, singing\, chanting\, moving\, voting – and thinking about what it means to be an Arctic inhabitant. The point of departure for NORDTING is the North\, but the issues addressed – of power\, economy\, local identity\, ownership to resources\, separatism and populism – are very much global and common for us all.NORDTING is a staged performance that deals with the identity and power structures of the North. Collectively\, the band present an assortment of whirling polskas\, groovy reels\, passionate love songs\, breathtaking hymns\, and original compositions.All with the group are seasoned instructors eager to share their knowledge and love for their musical traditions. \n\n\n\nEmma Björling (lead voice\, shruti box\, percussion) is an award-winning Swedish singer\, composer\,arranger\, active in the renowned Scandinavian bands Kongero and Lyy. Both bands have toured the world\, and are busy in the European folk-trad scene. Emma regularly teaches and conducts workshops all over the world. \n\n\n\nAlex Kehler (fiddle\, nyckelharpa\, vocals) In addition to his work with Skye Consort\, he is a member of La Nef\, Soulwood\, Kehler Williams duo\, Les Siffleurs de Nuits\, and Triton. \n\n\n\nAmanda Keesmaat (cello\, vocals) Principal cellist of Arion Baroque orchestra\, Amanda Keesmaat has also performed with Les Charbonniers de L’Enfer\, OktoEcho\, Jean-François Bélanger and Projet ClaireObscur. \n\n\n\nSeán Dagher (cittern/bouzouki\, banjo & vocals)is the artistic director of La Nef and an active performer\, arranger\, and composer of music from various folk and classical music traditions. He won the OPUS “Creation of the Year” award in 2014 for Sea Songs and has been nominated for numerous Adisq awards \n\n\n\nSKYE CONSORT has been accompanying singers since 2000and has recorded 5 CDs with singers such as Matthew White\, Shannon Mercer\, and Michael Slattery on the ATMA\, ANALEKTA\, and OMBÜ record labels. \n\n\n\nSEÁN DAGHER is widely known for his recordings with the Assassin’s Creed video game series\, including Black Flag. His renditions of sea shanties and other songs from the games have been streamed some 70 million times. His own Shanty of the Week video series receives thousands of views each week\, and has a loyal following the world over.

DESCRIPTION:GRAMMY-NOMINATED GUESTS FROM NORWAY \n\n\n\nANNA MARIA FRIMAN / LINN ANDREA FUGLSETH / JORUNN LOVISE HUSAN \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe crystalline voices of Trio Mediaeval have captivated audiences since the group was founded in Oslo in 1997. The Grammy-nominated trio’s core repertoire features sacred monophonic and polyphonic medieval music from England\, Italy and France; contemporary works written for the ensemble; and traditional Norwegian\, Swedish and Icelandic ballads and songs. The group’s fruitful relationship with the legendary ECM Records\, collaborative spirit\, and busy touring schedule has earned them worldwide renown.  \n\n\n\nTrio Mediaeval’s first of eight albums on ECM Records\, Words of the Angel\, landed on Billboard’s Top 10 and was a Stereophile “Recording of the Month.” Further releases on ECM followed in 2004 with Soir\, dit-elle and in 2005 with Stella Maris. The first three recordings\, produced by John Potter\, consisted of medieval and contemporary works. In 2007\, the trio teamed with the Norwegian percussionist Birger Mistereggen on a recording of Norwegian ballads and songs entitled Folk Songs\, produced by Manfred Eicher. Folk Songs was nominated for the Norwegian Spellemannprisen and for a Grammy Award for “Best Chamber Music Performance.” A Worcester Ladymass (2011) was also on Billboard’s Top 10 list\, and was selected by the German Record Critic’s Award as one of the best new releases in the “Early Music” category. The trio’s Aquilonis was named a “Top Music Recording of 2014” by the New York Times. In 2017\, Trio Mediaeval and jazz trumpeter Arve Henriksen released Rímur — medieval and folk music from Iceland\, Sweden and Norway. In 2020 Trio Mediaeval produced the album Solacium on the Norwegian label 2L\, with Grammy-winning Morten Lindberg as producer/engineer. In 2023\, 2L releases Trio Mediaeval’s latest recording\, An Old Hall Ladymass.  \n\n\n\nSince 2006\, the trio has embarked on a number of collaborative projects with Norwegian jazz/improvisational musicians. Harsh environments brought immense fear\, starvation\, and uncertainty together to awaken the darkest of Cree spirits\, the Wihtiko – an evil being with an insatiable appetite for human flesh. Inspired from stories shared by Indigenous Elders in Frog Lake First Nation following protocol\, Arluk has created a new\,visceral experience of Macbeth; a convergence of Shakespeare’s language\, modern English\, and Cree. DESCRIPTION:(PRONOUNCED “PILK-SILK”) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWith a style perpetually galvanized by darkness and haunting northern beauty\, sisters Tiffany Ayalik and Inuksuk Mackay come together to create an Inuit-style throat singing duo\, PIQSIQ. Performing ancient traditional songs and eerie new compositions\, they leave their listeners enthralled with the infinity of possible answers to the question “What is the meaning of life?”  \n\n\n\nWith roots in Nunavut’s Kitikmeot and Kivalliq\, the sisters grew up in Yellowknife\, Northwest Territories. Their love of katajjaq\, Inuit throat singing\, began in childhood and has bonded them throughout their lives. After years of forging this hard-won skill\, they developed their own form blended with their love of haunting melodies and otherworldly sounds.  \n\n\n\nAs PIQSIQ\, they perform improvisational looping live\, creating a dynamic audience experience that changes with every show. PIQSIQ incorporates their dark and ethereal style into their recordings and have produced four studio albums to date.
