8th Annual NACC Festival of Stories

8th Annual NACC Festival of Stories

Last year the NACC Festival of Stories ran in conjunction with the National Storytellers of Canada Conference held in Yellowknife at the end of May. This year, the Festival is back in its place as the kick-off event for the 6th Annual NACC Storytelling Road Festival that brings a van full of tellers to the communities of Behchoko, Ft Providence, Kakisa, Hay River, Enterprise and Ft Smith this year. This is an exciting event both for the communities and the tellers from here at home and beyond.

Storytelling is always a mixed bag of energy, colour, texture and content. The theme this year is "Transitions" and we challenge the tellers and the listeners to reveal themselves in the light, life and laughter of the stories themselves. Each concert is different and each story significant.

We look forward to seeing you out and enjoying all that the Festival has to offer! From workshops and jam sessions to formal telling performances, the NACC Festival of Stories is not to be missed!
