Let Your Spirit Fly

Let Your Spirit Fly

Music has played an intrinsic role throughout the human journey. It serves many purposes in our lives, and perhaps the most important purpose of music is its therapeutic and healing power. Artists often credit the therapeutic benefits experienced through the creative process, as have the beneficiaries.

Since music does charm us, penetrate deeply into our soul, and express that which cannot be said, “Let Your Spirit Fly” attempts to provide the insight and experience of the therapeutic healing power that music can provide for individuals of all ages. The music of this presentation features the individual talents of northern performers and composers. This collaborative performance shares songs and arrangements reflecting hardships encountered in life experience as well as the hope fueled from the creation and playing of music.

A song created by William S. Greenland, “Let Your Spirit Fly,” inspired and anchors this project.
