Leela Gilday CD Release "Calling All Warriors"

The Northern Arts and Cultural Centre is pleased to host Leela Gilday as she returns to the NACC stage for the official launch of her new CD - "Calling All Warriors." 

Known for her original music, Juno Award-winning singer-songwriter Leela Gilday's passionate and soulful performances have garnered her numerous awards and recognition as one of Canada's most important northern artists. In addition to the Juno, her last album "Sedze" also won the Western Canadian Music Award in 2007, was nominated for a Canadian Folk Music Award, and won the Indian Summer Music Award for Best Folk.

Leela has been recognized at the Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards as Best Female Artist and Best Songwriter and her CD "Spirit World, Solid Wood" was recognized as Best Folk Album. Up Here Magazine named Leela as Northerner of the Year in 2007.

Admission to this event is by donation at the door.

Doors open at NACC at 7:00pm.
